JigsawsXR

YOUR SPACE. YOUR INFORMATION.

Privacy policy

This policy covers the JigsawsXR website and the JigsawsXR mixed reality app for Meta Quest, provided by Intrepid Future.

Last updated:

1. The JigsawsXR website

You can browse the website without creating an account. We do not operate advertising, tracking cookies or website analytics on the current site. Puzzle previews run in your browser and do not send your selections to us.

Information needed to deliver the site

When you visit, the website hosting provider receives connection information such as your IP address, the requested page, request time and browser information. This information may be logged to deliver the website, maintain security and investigate faults. Provider log retention is governed by the hosting service.

Fonts and external links

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to retrieve the font files, sending connection information such as your IP address and browser information. See Google Fonts privacy information for details. Other websites linked from this site handle information under their own privacy policies.

2. The mixed reality app

JigsawsXR is a single-player puzzle app. The current app does not require a separate JigsawsXR account and does not include developer-operated analytics, advertising or photo uploads. Bundled puzzles and music work offline.

Photos you choose to import

Photo import is optional. When you choose a local image through the headset's system file picker, the app reads that selected image, prepares it for a puzzle and saves a private PNG copy on your device. It also stores a display name, image dimensions and an internal identifier so you can reuse the image. Image orientation information may be read to display the photo correctly. The app does not browse your whole photo library or upload your photos to Intrepid Future.

Puzzle progress and preferences

The app saves puzzle image identifiers, piece positions and rotations, joined groups, board and reference-image placement, play time and save timestamps on your device. It also stores preferences such as input mode, inventory layout, music selection and volume. These records let you resume puzzles and retain your settings.

Hands, controllers, headset and passthrough

Through StereoKit and OpenXR, the app processes headset, hand and controller tracking and button input to draw the scene and let you interact with puzzles. It uses the headset's passthrough feature to show your surroundings behind the game. The app does not record or upload raw camera images, video, microphone audio or biometric profiles. Saved board and piece layouts contain virtual object positions; they are not a recording of your movements or a scan of your room.

Meta platform services

Meta provides the headset operating system, tracking, passthrough, file picker and store services. Meta may process account, device, purchase, diagnostic or other platform information independently of Intrepid Future. See Meta's privacy policy. This policy describes JigsawsXR's handling of information and does not replace Meta's policy.

3. Storage, sharing and deletion

App photos, puzzle saves and preferences remain in the app's local storage until removed. Intrepid Future does not receive copies of these records through the current app. We do not sell your personal information or share app photos or tracking data for advertising.

You can delete individual saved puzzles in the app. Deleting a puzzle does not delete its imported photo, which remains available for other puzzles. The current app has no separate imported-photo deletion control.

To remove all locally stored app photos, puzzles and preferences, clear the app's storage using your device's app-management controls where available, or uninstall the app. This removes the app's local records; it does not delete the original photos you selected elsewhere on your device.

The Android app permits operating-system backups. Whether data is backed up or restored depends on your device and platform settings. Manage any platform backups separately; uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete a backup held by the platform.

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your contact details and the content of your enquiry. We use it to respond and resolve your request, and retain it only for as long as needed for that purpose or to meet applicable legal obligations. Please do not send private photos unless they are necessary for your enquiry.

Service providers involved in hosting the website or delivering correspondence may process the information needed to provide those services, including outside your country. We may disclose information we hold if required by applicable law or necessary to respond to a lawful request.

4. Your choices and rights

You can play with included artwork without importing personal photos. Use the app's settings to choose hands or controllers and adjust saved preferences. Use your headset's settings to manage permissions and platform privacy choices.

Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we process information as necessary to provide the functionality you request, for our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and maintaining a secure website, or to comply with legal obligations. Where consent is required, you can withdraw it for future processing.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a portable copy. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights. We may need enough information to verify the request. We cannot remotely access or delete app records stored only on your headset; the local deletion steps above apply to those records.

You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

5. Younger users

Use the app in accordance with Meta's account and headset age requirements and the age rating shown on the store listing. We do not use the current app to collect children's contact information or create advertising profiles. Parents and guardians should supervise photo imports and avoid sharing children's personal information in support enquiries.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our information practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before introducing new processing.
